2013: An intrepid former chiropractor starts his first Amazon business so he can move to an island paradise and live that freewheelin’ digital nomad life.
But taking on the ecommerce world can be dangerous—so many unforeseen costs and fees sneaking around every corner, stealing profits right out of the pockets of unsuspecting sellers.
So, he embarks on a classic 80’s training montage (except with lots of spreadsheets). He learns how to find and track every-single-metric, in the name of profitability—from the most granular per-SKU costs to the most zoomed-out, business-wide expenses.
He builds the most beautiful, intricate spreadsheet the world has ever seen, and buries himself in its rows and columns for many years.
Cut to—
2018: He has now acquired, made profitable, and sold multiple ecommerce brands, all with his trusty spreadsheet by his side.
But with multiple growing brands, products & costs to keep track of, that spreadsheet is growing way out of control.
His accuracy is slipping because he can’t keep up with it all. There’s too much to track, and it’s constantly becoming outdated because the business moves so quickly.
As he spends more and more time buried in the spreadsheet, he’s pulled away from doing the Very Important Things his business needs in order to scale & thrive.
He needs help.
